REGISTRATION FOR SEASON 2 IS NOW OPEN AND WILL CLOSE ON WEDNESDAY 26TH JULY FOR SENIORS AND SUNDAY 6TH AUGUST FOR JUNIORS.
MIXED SEASON STARTS 31ST JULY AND GRADES SEASON STARTS 2ND AUGUST.
JUNIORS SEASON STARTS ON FRIDAY 11TH AND SATURDAY 12TH AUGUST.
IMPORTANT CHANGES YOU NEED TO BE AWARE OF FOR THIS SEASON.
Changes to the Dual Registration Rule are:
DUAL REGISTRATION IS ALLOWED FOR SCHOOL TEAM BASED PLAYERS ONLY. THE SCHOOL PLAYER MUST REGISTER IN THE SCHOOL TEAM FIRST AND THEN IS PERMITTED TO DUAL REGISTER INTO A CLUB TEAM IN A HIGHER GRADE ONLY.
If you wish to apply for an exemption to this rule, you must submit an application in writing to the Management Committee which will be processed on a case-by-case basis.
School teams must have the School Name in the Registration name and cannot have any players that are not attending that particular school.
NEW INSURANCE/MEMBERSHIP MODEL FROM TOUCH FOOTBALL AUSTRALIA.
TFA have implemented a new membership model for themselves. Rockhampton Touch used to pay an insurance/membership fee per team each season.
TFA have now decided that they will charge the individual yearly instead of receiving a fee from the Affiliates. This fee started on 1st July, 2023.
We have decreased our registration fee by the amount we previously paid to TFA each season. Our fees this season are $125 per Senior (Monday/Wednesday), Dual Rego $75, Masters $125 per player and $70 per Junior (Friday/Saturdays).
The TFA have increased their component to a yearly fee of $22 per person. This will be paid on Mysideline before you register to your team. You can play in as many teams/events as permitted with no extra charge from TFA till after 30th June 2024.
The insurance component of this fee does not cover for “Lost Income”, if you are worried about this you will have to take out some form of Income Protection cover for yourself with an insurance broker.
As this insurance cover is direct to TFA we are unable to offer payment direct to Rocky Touch anymore and all registrations must be done through mysideline so you are covered for injury.
All visitor registrations are still $10 and can only be used if the visitor is a member of another Affiliate, you cannot use it for a spare player to make up numbers, etc as they are not covered anymore if injured.
