Rockhampton Touch Association has been situated at the Cyril Connell Fields since 1987 and at Gracemere and Brosnan Oval, North Rockhampton before that. We have a very loyal club and team base as well as the ‘social’ teams who participate in either Mixed competition on Monday nights or in Mens/Ladies/Masters Men competitions on Wednesday nights. We have two seasons each year – season 1 commencing around early-February and season 2 commencing around late-July.
We have a very strong junior competition as well with season 2 being our main season for children starting as young as 4 in our ‘6yrs and under’ division through to our ’12 years and under’ division being held on Saturday mornings and high school age ’14 years and under’ and 16 years and under’ held on Friday nights. Season 1 offers our juniors competition in ’10 years and under’ through to ’14 years and under’ and is held on Friday nights commencing at 5.40pm.
Our player registration fee is kept at a minimum to allow players from every socio-economic background to be able to play – it also allows multiple family members to participate without hurting the budget too much. Rocky Touch is registered to accept Qld Gov Get Started Vouchers.
